Fantastic Facilitation in the Happiest Place on Earth
My company has put on a "Board of Advisors" style meeting with professional peers, partners, and clients twice, both times in Disney World. The purpose of which was to seek feedback from industry stakeholders to guide our decisions on overall business strategy as well as feedback on specific aspects of our product.
We engaged Lowell's services again for our second meeting due to the overwhelming positive outcome from the first.
I greatly appreciated the amount of oversight he actively sought from me before the event. He made me feel comfortable that my objectives were very much in focus during the event without intentionally driving participant feedback to agree or disagree with any one position. Lowell guided a healthy and supportive discussion between the group that examined each topic from a variety of perspectives and this provided me a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of how to approach future decisions related to my business and our role in this industry. Every attendee contributed to the discussion in meaningful ways and commented to me how much fun they were having.
During breaks throughout the meeting, Lowell privately sought feedback on whether or not he was facilitating the discussing in line with my expectations, if I was comfortable with the pace we were working through topics, and my overall satisfaction up to that moment. He kept me involved at every step, acted as a conduit for achieving my outcomes, and made the entire event enjoyable and engaging for myself and my guests.
